NJYC is a nationally recognized model demonstrating successful strategies in helping young men and women find an alternative path to education with a proven track record. Those young adults entering our program at the High School level obtain their diploma at a 90% success rate.

New Jersey Youth Corps staff design individual success strategies (ISS) for each member. Members spend approximately half their time in classes geared to helping them earn an HSE (High School Equivalency). In class, they work in large and small groups and receive individual assistance as necessary.

Instruction is also incorporated into their community-based Service Learning projects, reinforcing lessons learned in the classroom with physically engaging service projects.
